“while traveling in the countryside, night fell and i looked for a shelter, and found a cave. when i entered it and sat down, i began to hear the growling of beasts around me, and this put fear in my heart. then i said to myself, ’I will recite salawat upon the Prophet Muhammad (alayhi salat wa salam), because he promised that whoever recites one salat upon him, Allah Himself in turn sends down 10 blessings upon him, and if i am under the blessing of Allah, then He will protect me’”

and so he spent the night reciting salawat upon his beloved grandfather, the Messenger of Allah (alayhi salat wa salam).

when dawn fell, he came down from the cave to the river to make ablution for the morning prayer, and when he reached the river, next to him was a large shrub in which were nesting many birds. when he splashed the water they became very startled and there was a great rush of fluttering wings around him, and this startled him and caused him to step back.

then a voice inspired him:

“When you were with Us, the growling of beasts did not scare you, but when you were with yourself, the wings of harmless birds scared you”.  

A stranger in the land I was born in

Born with a veil over my vision of my origin 

Is it the fragrant breeze that blows from your living-quarter

Which wakes me from my slumber to my forgotten interior? 

Or is it the cloud-covered full moon that brings out what is hid

Signaled by the lone wolf craving for its beloved? 

Love of him came to me before I knew what love was

Stricking an empty heart, rooting firm in its new house 

How is it then that these foreign shadows enter in and trespass,

Making what was fresh gone, creating fear that it wont last? 

Born in mercy and by mercy, I emanated from you

1-The Language of God, Francis Collins (2006) asks “In an era of
cosmology, evolution, and the human genome, is there still the
possibility of a rich satisfying harmony between the scientific and
spiritual worldviews?” What is your response to this question?

Ans:

The first point in answer to this important timely question is that in reality, there is no conflict or barrier between science and spirituality except those that the specific questioner introduces themselves. Therefore, for the traditionally trained and educated Muslim scientist, this question would never arise. What has happened in over more recent history in regards to the dynamic between science and spirituality is as two children who grew up closely together, then were separated for a few decades, so that now they have a difficult time recognizing each other. We as fathers of these two children are responsible for ameliorating our neglect of these children and seeing to it they are truly united again.  

The key to the union of spirituality and science is a spiritually-informed world view and responsible usage of science. A spiritually-deprived science is what leads to atomic bombs, space programs in the billions of dollars while millions of poor and needy go hungry, eugenics programs, new exotic war weapons, and so on.  

I fail to see how one can study cosmology and fail to be spiritually uplifted – which means spiritually humbled and grateful. When one’s scientific knowledge of cosmology grows and appreciates the placement and ordered movement of the celestial bodies – understanding for example how the sun and the earth are placed in perfect relationship to each other, the heart flutters in humble gratitude and reverence for the One Who made earth a suitable space for us to live.  

Evolution does not “disprove” the existence of God, evolution as a theory only details and describes *how* God creates His creation and is intimately involved with them. “And He is the One Who grants to every thing its created measure, then guides it along” (Qur’an).  

One can develop similar understandings with the other sciences, putting them in the proper perspective through keeping the spiritual worldview at the forefront.    

2-Can a religion’s claim to spiritual truth be separated from its
factual claims? Is there fear that reason will undermine religious tradition?

Ans:

Let us begin answering this question by illustrating the difference between the irrational and the supra-rational. A “square-circle” is irrational; the definition of each necessarily excludes the other, and thus it is impossible for such a thing to exist. Angels (and their qualities) are supra-rational; there is no rational reason why it is impossible for them to exist, and thus the only basis one has in denying their existence is that the subject himself has never perceived them in their life. It is enough to look at the physical world to understand that one’s five senses – and the experiences based upon them – encompass only very little of physical reality. Therefore it is the height of arrogance and ignorance to deny the existence of something due to its being irrational simply because one’s five senses have not perceived it before.  

So what then constitutes a “factual” claim? And why further is that even relevant? The Creator did not reveal religion and spirituality to humanity to explain laws of physics and observable nature. People do not subscribe to a religion because its tenets can be scientifically proven, but because it *works*. If one observes his or her own behavior with honest objectivity, one sees that even within the confines of this physical existence one takes many things for granted and does not seek out scientific testimony and proof for every act and interaction. When we walk into a building, do we demand to study its blueprint and design before taking a “leap of faith” and stepping inside?  

Therefore, there should be no fear of rationality “undermining” religious or spiritual truth. It is illogical to employ rationality in the spiritual realms, because it is not meant for that and will not work, just as one does not measure the temperature of an object with a ruler.   

In addition, the five senses are not the only means by which one gains knowledge of things and events. According to religious epistemiology, the spirit (the fundamental faculty of the human) is also able in its own way to know things, and disparate people throughout history who lived in different places and spoke different languages all came to similar realizations thru their spirits… that there is an Afterlife, that there are angels and other non-physical beings, that there are parallel universes and dimensions, and so on.  

Finally, a God that can be proven and explained by physical science is not a God worthy of worship. For if science could prove a God, then this means such a God must have physical dimensions and limits, be confined within time’s course, be composed of parts, have a beginning (in time and space) and an end… in other words, be in need of a creator itself. Because of this, scientific rationality has no place in Divine or spiritual matters, for in those realms it ceases to function.    

3- If science focuses on the verifiable and faith on the
unverifiable, can reason play a part in faith at all? 

Ans:

In my view, reason plays its role in the beginning of faith, and in understanding faith. It is still necessary that faith not contradict the rational and logical… for example, we would not have faith in someone who claims that God created a “square-circle”, or that God created another god, and so on.  

As another example: When the materialists denied the resurrection, God in the Qur’an told them (paraphrased): “you state that you reject the resurrection from the dead as irrational because once something dies, then it is inconceivable based on your life experiences that it come to life again. Yet look around at the creation and the cycles of life and rebirth that constantly occur, and you will see there is nothing irrational about that claim.” In other words, God is explaining that belief in the resurrection is congruent with rationality, and is giving a similitude within our rational existence to help us understand an idea or picture of the future resurrection. So He says: “the (disbelieving) human says, ‘Who is it who will bring these bones to life when they have become dust?’ say: “He Who will bring them back to life is the same One Who gave them life (from nothingness) in the first place, and He has full knowledge of all creation… Is He Who created the heavens and the earth not able to create the like of them again?” (Q36:78-79, 81).  

After this all it comes down to is whether or not the human trusts that the Creator is speaking the truth, and thus believe in what He says about things which are unseen to us. So far, He hasn’t shown us a reason to doubt Him…    

Ibrahim Hakim al-Shaghouri  October 31^st, 2007

“Kitab al-Ibriz min kalam Sayyidi Abdil-’Aziz (al-Dabbagh)” or “Book of Pure Gold from the statements of Sidi Abdul-Aziz”, collected by his student, the ‘Alim Ahmad ibn Mubarak. i have always found in this book dizzying heights of knowledge and tahqiq, on various topics such as: his explanations and commentaries on certain Qur’anic verses and hadiths (over 80 pages is devoted to the hadith “the Qur’an came down in seven ahruf”), the Diwan/meeting of the Awliya’, things to do with the Shaykh and the murid and the relationship between them, the different types of Fath (spiritual illumination), and his descriptions of what he saw in the Barzakh, and Jannah, Jahannam.

the section below is my translation (from p. 314-15) in which the student Ahmad describes the question of one Faqih to the Shaykh Abdul-’Aziz:

“and the above-mentioned Faqih asked him about the Way of Gratitude (Shukr) and the Way of Exertion and Spiritual Exercises (Mujahadah), which is loftier? he asked:

“what is the difference between the Way of al-Shadhuli and his followers, and the Way of al-Ghazali and his followers? the first seems to be fully centered around gratitude and joy to the Giver (i.e. Allah) without any exertion or struggle, while the other seems to be focused on spiritual exercises (Riyadah) and hunger and staying awake and tiring acts of exertion, so are they both in congruence on the necessity for Riyada? and Imam al-Shadhuli seems to command (his followers) to have gratitude after coming close to Arrival (Wusul) or upon reaching it, or even to have gratitude and joy in Allah from the first moment of the Path. And could both Ways be taken at the same time by one person, or is it that you cannot benefit from one unless you avoid the other? Please give a thorough response…”

He responded – may Allah be pleased with him:

“the Way of Shukr is the original Way, and it was the Way traveled by the hearts of the Prophets and the Pure Ones among the Sahaba and others, and it consists of worshipful devotion (‘Ibadah) of Him Most High with sincerity in servanthood and being free of all personal aims and selfish portions, coupled with recognition and admittance of one’s own impotence and deficiency and inability to fulfill the rights of Lordship, and that all of that become established and settled in the heart in every passing moment and hour. So when He (Most Exalted) saw their truthfulness in that, He rewarded them in accordance with what His overflowing Generosity would dictate, such as an opening into His Knowledge and obtainment of the secrets of secured belief (Iman) in Him.

“And when the folk of Striving heard of the attainments of these, they made these attainments their ultimate aim and desire, and sought them thru acts of fasting, praying at night, periods of solitude (Khalwa), until they obtained whatever they obtained.

“Therefore, in the first Way (of Shukr) the move (Hijrah) was – from the beginning – towards Allah and His Messenger, and not towards spiritual illumination and unveilings, whereas in the other Way (of Mujahada) it was towards the obtainment of spiritual openings and levels and degrees in that. The walking in the first Way is a walking of hearts, while in the second Way is a walking of bodies; and the Opening (Fath) in the first is of-a-sudden, without the servant having any expectation or wait for it, so that while the servant is busy with repentance and seeking forgiveness, the manifest opening comes to him.

“Both Ways are correct, but the Way of Shukr is more correct and more sincere. Both Ways are agreed upon the necessity for spiritual exercises and strivings, but in the first it is a striving of the hearts, by upholding the attachment between him and Allah Most High, and stationing the heart constantly at His Door, and fleeing to Allah in both states of motion and stillness, and striving to stay away from any periods of heedlessness (ghaflah) between moments of wakeful presence (hudur)… in a word, it consists of firm attachment of the heart to Allah and perpetuity in that state, even if outwardly one does not find (in them) great acts of worship. This is why you would find such a person fasting sometimes and feasting other times, sleeping sometimes and staying awake other times, sleeping with their spouses, and performing other duties of the religion which would appear in contradistinction with a way of life of bodily and physical Riyadah.

“As for the second way, the move (Hijrah) is towards spiritual openings and levels. Then after the Opening, some of them remain stuck in their primary intention, so that his heart becomes attached to the things he witnesses, and he becomes happy and content with the unveilings and walking on water and moving long distances in short periods of time (lit: “folding up of distance”), and he sees that this is the ultimate goal. These are the people whose hearts are emptied of Allah from the beginning of their affair till its end, among “those who are the greatest of losers in their acts, whose strivings are misguided in this life, while they imagine that they perform excellently” (Qur’an 18:103-04).

“But others (among this second way) change their intentions after the Opening, and Allah has mercy on them and takes them by the hand, so that their hearts become attached to Allah, and turn away from anything else. and this state which occurs with them is the beginning state for those in the first Way (of Shukr) – so look at the great separation existing between the two!

“So in summary, the traveling in the first Way is a traveling of hearts, and in the second Way is a traveling of bodies, and the intention in the first Way is pure, and in the second is mixed and impure, and the Opening in the first is of-a-sudden and unexpected, and in the second is obtained thru secondary means and efforts, and this is how the two Ways are divided. Also, in the first Path, the Opening (Fath) is only obtained by the believer (mu’min) knower (‘arif) beloved (habib) close one (qarib), in distinction with the second Path, in which one hears of certain monks and rabbis undertaking physical acts of spiritual striving thru which they attain to some degrees and ranks. In all of this we speak of physical and spiritual acts of striving and exertion in an absolute sense, regardless if they come from someone on the Path of truth or falsehood, and we are not referring specifically to the Riyadah of Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (may Allah be pleased with him), for he is a true leader and a real saint.

“as for your asking whether both ways can be taken by one person at the same time, then yes it is possible, for there is no contradiction in having one’s heart attached to Allah Most High in all moments, and undertaking outward acts of Mujahadah and Riyadah (e.g., fasting, praying at night, etc…), and Allah knows best.” (end quote).

I havent found a better more concise description of the Shadhuli Path of Tasawwuf than this one, and the only difference is that Imam al-Shadhuli himself, and his direct students and heirs, refer to the “Path of Gratitude (shukr)” as the “Path of Attraction (Jadhb)”, and the other second way as the “Path of Travel/Walking (Suluk),” as seen for example in the last chapters of the Hikam of Ibn Ata’Illah, and those books which record the statements of the founders Sidi Abu’l Hasan al-Shadhuli, Sidi Abu’l Abbas al-Mursi, Sidi Yaqut al-’Arsh al-Habashi, who all talked of the path of divine attraction (which was considered as the ‘Shadhuli’ factor) in contrast to the path of suluk (which was considered as the other Ways of Tasawwuf).

Imam al-Shadhuli said: “Of all the Ways there are two: the path of attraction (jadhb), and the path of travel (suluk). Ours is the path of attraction. Our beginning is their end, and their beginning is our end.”

Last time i left off at these words of our commentator:

“But of course this person simply used the wrong term, and meant that the government was behind it. I’ve heard the reasons why this is thought, building fell too fast, Pentagon hole was too small… 19 hijackers and a few masterminds didn’t well… something about that, who knows, all but this last thing has been countered and I’m not one to say that the reasons why it’s believed are wrong, but I am one to say that the motives are just not there. and the ones that are there are simply not worth the cost of being caught or even for that matter in hindsight what America, the government, has gained is just not that much, and then there’s the motives of why the government would want these things so extremely bad that they would murder 3500 some odd people and put the blame on confessing terrorists.”

Read again the first 2-3 sentences…. does that sound like someone who is certain about what he is talking about? that knows what they are saying and the facts and proofs behind his claims? my commentator, do you expect me to believe that ALL of the unanswered questions and evidences of govement complicity in 9/11 have been “countered” (by whom, when, how?) simply because you say so? ALL, that is, except one, which was not even phrased sensibly… (something about that, who knows..). “i’ve heard the reasons why this is thought” and what have you done about them? have you studied them as they deserve to be studied?? and if not (which you havent by your own admission) why not? Following are some of the questions that I and many many others have asked about 9/11:

1) PRE-KNOWLEDGE OF TARGETS: In one of the Sherlock Holmes Novels, the detective solves the crime by noting that “the dog did not bark” when the thief entered the house, and rightly concluded that it was the owner of the house (and the dog) that must have stolen his own house for certain motives, so as to not alarm his dog. if it was a stranger however, the dog would have barked. based on this, Michael Rivero of “What Really Happened” states:

“With a supposedly unknown number of planes flying across the country and crashing into buildings, with the President’s location at Booker Elementary announced in the media 3 days in advance, and with an airport just four miles away, how did the US Secret Service KNOW that Bush was not a target on 9-11?” The video is available on the internet. Look at it. Look at the president’s reaction in his face and body. while his country is being attacked, he continues to read about a goat to children for twenty minutes! this is the reaction of someone who already knows what is going on, and someone who knows he is safe, NOT someone who was unaware of the danger, and scrambles away to safety once he knows he is being attacked.

2) FEIGNED IGNORANCE AND FAKE EVIDENCE: We all remember when G. Bush and Con. Rice lied again and again when they stated in the days after 9-11 that “they could not possible know such a plan was underway, or that such an attack could or would take place” or various claims to that effect. in one instance, Rice even began crying and pleading to us to accept her innocent ignorance of the plans to attack. And yet just less than three days after 9-11, they already had the complete identities of the 19 supposed hijackers. How is that possible?

3) PURPOSELY IGNORED WARNINGS: Related to point #2 above, we also know they were lying thru their teeth because even mainstream media reported that there were numerous and repeated advanced warnings given to the US Gov’n, not only from US gov’n officials themselves, but also from many other countries.

a) Rice herself was warned of planned attacks on Jan ’01, according to the Washington Times (Feb 12, 2005)

b) warned by an Iranian Spy (London Guardian, Jan 24, 2004)

c) MI-6 warned American intelligence services two years before the attacks (Sunday Times Britain, June 9, 2002)

d) the New York Post on June 6, 2002 reported that the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee uncovered new pre-911 warnings from a “variety of agencies”

e) Mossad warned CIA of attacks (Jerusalem Post, Sept 18, 2001)

f) warnings from the Italian police (LA Times May 29, 2002)

g) warnings from the French (VillageVoice.com, May 28, 2002), but US officials chose not to act on French warnings

h) Jordanian and Moroccan special services gave the CIA notice of preparations of an operation under code name “Great Wedding”, as reported by Kuwait’s Al-Kabas and the PRAVDA online news publication (May 24, 2002)

i) US and Israeli intel. agencies received warnings at least 3 months in advance of plans to hijack commercial aircraft to use as weapons, according to Germany’s FAZ, one of its most respected dailies.

j) Egyptian president Mubarak warned America (AP, 12/07/01 and NYTimes, 06/04/02)

k) Even the Taliban itself (!!) warned the US about the attacks (BBC News Sept 7, 2002 and NewsMax Sept 8, 2002)

l) Washington Times (Oct 2, 2002) reported: “Two terrorists who were on the hijacked airliner that hit the pentagon might have been located before Sept 11 but the FBI and CIA DID NOT ALERT immigration officials of the danger they posed, a Congressional investigator said…”

m) US News and World Report (06/10/02) stated “the FBI had a chance to infiltrate an al-Qaeda training camp in the months before the 9-11 attacks – and possibly learn about the coming strike – but the proposal was rejected by top officials…” We will see how this is significant later. but compare this to what the Washington Times (June 9, 2002) reported: “The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee said… the hijackers would have been stopped had US officials acted on intelligence info available before the attacks.”

n) As if to further disprove the lies and claims of the government that they were not complicit in the attacks and knew nothing about the plans undertaken, we learn from MDW News (“Military District of Washington”) which is an Intra-News service for the Military, on Nov 3rd, 2000 (read that date again) about detailed simulated plane crash exercises at the Pentagon. I quote: “The Pentagon Mass Casualty Exercise, as the crash was called, was just one of several scenarios that emergency response teams were exposed to (from) Oct 24-26th (2000) in the Office of the Secretaries of Defense conference room. On Oct 24 2000, there was a mock terrorist incident at the Pentagon metro stop… to name just a few of the scenarios that were practiced to better prepare local agencies for real incidents.” Finally, we also now this, from a USA Today article (April 18, 2004; LINK):

“WASHINGTON — In the two years before the Sept. 11 attacks, the North American Aerospace Defense Command conducted exercises simulating what the White House says was unimaginable at the time: hijacked airliners used as weapons to crash into targets and cause mass casualties.

One of the imagined targets was the World Trade Center. In another exercise, jets performed a mock shootdown over the Atlantic Ocean of a jet supposedly laden with chemical poisons headed toward a target in the United States. In a third scenario, the target was the Pentagon — but that drill was not run after Defense officials said it was unrealistic, NORAD and Defense officials say.

NORAD, in a written statement, confirmed that such hijacking exercises occurred.”

4) NewsMax (Oct 4, 2001) ran a story on Dr. Tatyana Koryagina, who predicted the 9-11 attacks in July of 2001, who also stated that new attacks will come in the near term, “of a financial nature and otherwise”… “Who is behind these strikes? Koryagina claims the US is painting a false picture. She said the operation was not the work of 19 terrorists but a larger group seeking to reshape the world…The Koryagina claims are not easily dismissed, especially her clear indications in the interview before Sept. 11 that the attacks on America’s financial system would be of an unusual nature. Her comments also mirrored similar warnings issued by Russian officials.“

5) INSIDER TRAIDING – “follow the money” is the first rule of any criminal investigator. It is well documented that the CIA has monitored such trades – in real time – as potential warnings of terrorist attacks and other economic moves contrary to US interests.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported (Sept 29, 2001): “Investors have yet to collect more than $2.5 million in profits they made trading options in the stock of United Airlines BEFORE the Sept 11 terrorist attacks, according to a source familiar with the trades and market data. The uncollected money raises suspicions that the investors – whose nationalities and identities have not been made public – had advanced knowledge of the strikes.”

A September 21 story by the Israeli Herzliyya International Policy Institute for Counterterrorism, entitled “Black Tuesday: The World’s Largest Insider Trading Scam?” documented the following trades connected to the September 11 attacks:- Between September 6 and 7, the Chicago Board Options Exchange saw purchases of 4,744 put options on United Airlines, but only 396 call options… Assuming that 4,000 of the options were bought by people with advance knowledge of the imminent attacks, these “insiders” would have profited by almost $5 million.- On September 10, 4,516 put options on American Airlines were bought on the Chicago exchange, compared to only 748 calls. Again, there was no news at that point to justify this imbalance;… Again, assuming that 4,000 of these options trades represent “insiders,” they would represent a gain of about $4 million.- [The levels of put options purchased above were more than six times higher than normal.] (from an article by Michael Ruppert, written Oct 9, 2001):

CIA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR “BUZZY” KRONGARD MANAGED FIRM THAT HANDLED “PUT” OPTIONS ON UAL

This was also reported by the UK “Independent” on Oct 14, 2001. The New York Post (May 25, 2002) reported: “ An accused inside-trader made suspicious stock trades on Sept. 10, leading investigators to believe he might have known about the terror attacks a day later, a federal prosecutor said yesterday.”

6) WAR GAME EXERCISES: The Assoicated Press (Aug 23, 2002) reported that the CIA were running drills of crashing planes into buildings on THE MORNING OF 9-11. We even know the names of these drills: Operation Northern Vigilance, Biowarfare Exercise Tripod II, Operation Vigilant Guardian, Operation Northern Guardian, and Operation Vigilant Warrior. Now we understand that these wargames were cover for the operational execution of 9-11, as researchers Alex Jones and Paul Joseph Watson detail in their thoroughly researched article (available here) which should be required reading.

“The drill scenario also explains a comment made by air traffic control personnel which was featured in a July 2004 BBC television report. Click here for that video clip and article. The controller is told that a hijacked airliner is heading for New York and responds by saying, “is this real world or an exercise?”

“In May of 2001 (again, notice the date), by presidential order, Cheney was handed direct control of all wargame and drill operations. This meant he was solely in charge of the overlapping NORAD drills and wargames on the morning of 9/11, that prevented Standard Operating Procedure from being implemented, and any of the hijacked planes being intercepted.” The website continues: (pay attention people)

“Now that we have established how NORAD were confused, delayed and distracted by the numerous wargames, the next question to ask is who if anyone was aware of which planes were ‘real world’ and which planes were ‘exercise’? The answer to this question will provide us with the name of the individual who ran the operatonal execution of the 9/11 attack.

Dick Cheney.

Cheney was initially taken by the secret service to an underground bunker in the White House called the Presidential Emergency Operations Center.

From there, according to CNN, Cheney directed the US government’s response to the unfolding attack.

Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta was in the Presidential Emergency Operating Center with Vice President Cheney as Flight 77 approached Washington, D.C. On May 23, 2003 in front of the 9/11 Commission, Secretary Mineta testified:

“During the time that the airplane was coming in to the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President, “The plane is 50 miles out.” “The plane is 30 miles out.” And when it got down to “the plane is 10 miles out,” the young man also said to the Vice President, “Do the orders still stand?” And the Vice President turned and whipped his neck around and said, “Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?”

As the plane in question hit the Pentagon, what else can we conclude but that the ‘order’ was not to shoot down the aircraft and to let it find its target.” (end quote).

Otherwise, the question is: how did bin Laden (solely without any help from the Amer military and government) get NORAD to stand down and not intercept those hijacked planes, like they’ve always done in the past? They had over 80 minutes advanced warning (Compare this to the reaction of F-16 jets when the jet carrying Payne Stewart flew off course, and they intercepted him within 25 minutes, as reported by USA Today 10/26/99). NORAD successfully intercepted off course and suspected hijackings 100% of 67 times during the year prior to 9/11 (AP, 8/13/02), each time in under 20 minutes. An Air Force F-15 “scrambles” to 29,000 feet in 2.5 minutes, normally intercepting in 15 minutes. This is NORMAL PROCEDURE. If NORAD had been left alone, they would have taken no delay in intercepting the planes. There were 35 US Air Force bases within range on 9/11, and Atlantic City F-16 fighters were only 8 minutes away from the hijacked planes. This isnt “negligence”. There’s no other explanation except gov’n complicity and pre-meditated planning and execution of the attacks.

7) LIVING HIJACKERS: At least seven of the Nineteen hijackers are still reported ALIVE after the 9-11 attacks. How can this be explained?

BBC News (Sept 22, 2001) reported that Waleed al-Shehri, one of the 19 supposed hijackers, has “turned up alive and well in Morocco” and that “he told Saudi journalists in Casablanca that he had nothing to do with the attacks on New York and Washington, and had been in Morocco at the time.”

The London Guardian (Sept 2, 2002) and Associated Press (Sept 11, 2004) reported that the father of Mohammad Atta stated that his son was still alive. This was also reported in “The Cairo Times, Vol. 5, Issue 29″.

RIYADH, Sept 17 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) – U.S. officials in Riyadh offered Abdul Rahman Said al-Omari an official apology in the presence of Saudi interior ministry officials for including his name among the list of suspects in the U.S. terrorist attacks, news agencies reported Monday.Omari, a pilot with Saudi Airlines, told the Saudi daily Al-Watan that he was amazed to see his name on the FBI’s list of suspects allegedly involved in the attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center Tuesday, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.Meanwhile, the mother of another Saudi man, also suspected in the September 11th attacks, said Monday that her son has been in Chechnya for two years with a relief committee operating in the tiny war-torn Muslim republic.The mother of Ahmad Ibrahim al-Ghamdi told Al-Watan that her son had been studying engineering in the Saudi city of Mecca before departing for Chechnya, AFP reported. The father of Fayez Mohammad al-Shehri, yet another Saudi suspect, also told the daily that his son had also left for Chechnya two years ago with the relief committee.

Notably, the preliminary lists of confirmed dead of American Airlines flights 11 and 77 and United flight 175, released September 13th by U.K. daily The Guardian, did not include any Arab or Middle Eastern names. (read that again, and then again. has it sunk in yet?) You can check the passenger lists out for yourself, here. Also, here. There are no Araic names on this list, let alone the names of the 19 alleged hijackers. How would they get into the planes without having their names and identities recorded?

Omari Number 1 Mr. Al-Omari, a pilot with Saudi Airlines, walked into the US embassy in Jeddah to demand why he was being reported as a dead hijacker in the American media.“a pilot with Saudi Airlines, was astonished to find himself accused of hijacking ­ as well as being dead ­ and has visited the US consulate in Jeddah to demand an explanation.” – Independent 17th September 2001

Omari Number 2 ” a Saudi man has reported to authorities that he is the real Abdulaziz Alomari, and claims his passport was stolen in 1995 while he studied electrical engineering at the University of Denver. Alomari says he informed police of the theft.” – ABCNews

“I couldn’t believe it when the FBI put me on their list. They gave my name and my date of birth, but I am not a suicide bomber. I am here. I am alive. I have no idea how to fly a plane. I had nothing to do with this.” – Telegraph 23rd September 2001

“The name [listed by the FBI] is my name and the birth date is the same as mine, but I am not the one who bombed the World Trade Center in New York,” Abdulaziz Alomari told the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.

“It was proved that five of the names included in the FBI list had nothing to do with what happened.” – Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal told the Arabic Press after meeting with President George W. Bush on Sept. 20th.

One writer wrote: In September 2002, Mueller told CNN twice that there is “no legal proof to prove the identities of the suicidal hijackers.” After that admission a strange thing happened – nothing. No follow-up stories. No follow-up questions. There was dead silence and the story disappeared. It was almost as if no one wanted to know what had happened. In fact, the FBI didn’t bother to change the names, backgrounds or photographs of the alleged 19 hijackers. It didn’t even deny the news reports suggesting that the names and identities of at least six of the hijackers may be unknown”.

Basically, the gov’n version of “who dun it?” is a lie. This point speaks for itself. But there are related questions that i myself asked when i heard in the news about them. For example, how could it be possible that one of the alleged hijacker’s passport could safely – without harm or blemish – land on the streets of New York, when it had to go thru either his jacket pocket or carry-on, thru the burning plane, thru the expoding jet fuel, thru the burning building, and land a couple of blocks away to be conveniently discovered and picked up by someone? While at the same time, they reported immediately after the attacks that the black boxes – made of some of the strongest metals on the planet – were “unrecoverable” (only to later recant and say they salvaged 3 of them). Please! THAT is what’s called a conspiracy theory folks…

and finally, here is the Larry Silverstein video in a PBS Documentary on Sept 2002 where he ADMITS that he had bulding 7 of the WTC Complex brought down by explosives: (remember, this is the building that was demolished in a controlled demolition after 5 pm on 9-11, had no planes hit it, and was around 350 feet away from buildings 1 and 2).

WTC7 (take a look at this damning footage and tell me this isnt a controlled demolition). As we say in Arabic, “al-i’tiraf sayyid al-adillah” or “confession is the mother of all proofs”. It takes weeks and weeks to plan and set up a controlled demolition of such an over-engineered 47-story two million square-foot building, so are we to believe that within those few hours on that same day, they were able to go in and plant the explosive devices in the exact areas needed, and “pull” (i.e. demolish) the building?

Do you want to know how much Larry Silverstein made from the insurance policy off the WTC complex (which specifically covered “acts of terrorism”)? Over 3 billion dollars. (There’s your motive folks).

NEW YORK – A jury decided Monday that the attacks on the World Trade Center were two separate events for insurance purposes, meaning leaseholder Larry Silverstein can collect up to $4.6 billion for rebuilding efforts.

The trial boosted Silverstein’s potential payout well above the $3.5 billion for which he had actually insured the trade center but short of the $7 billion he had once hoped to collect.

9) W199I: the FBI was hindered by top officials in certain levels of the US Gov’n from preventing the attacks. Following are a list of some articles and news reports detailing this:

a) “US agents told to back off bin Ladens” (Ananova, Nov 7, 2001: LINK)

b) “Bush thwarted FBI probe against bin Ladens” (Hindustan Times, Nov 7, 2001: LINK)

c) BBC Newsnight (Nov 6, 2001) reported the same: FBI told to “back off” investigating bin Laden family before attacks on Sept 11th.

d) London Guardian (Nov 7, 2001) carried a report which began: “FBI and military intelligence officials in Washington say they were prevented for political reasons from carrying out full investigations into members of the Bin Laden family in the US before the terrorist attacks of September 11. US intelligence agencies have come under criticism for their wholesale failure to predict the catastrophe at the World Trade Centre. But some are complaining that their hands were tied.” (LINK)

e) “ FBI Special Agent Robert G. Wright Jr. will hold a news conference Thursday in Washington to reveal FBI negligence and obstruction of counterterrorism investigations targeting Hamas and al-Qaeda.” (Newsmax, May 29, 2002: LINK)

f) “WASHINGTON — A government watchdog and FBI counter-terrorism agent are accusing the agency of prohibiting him from conducting his probe into terror financing activities because he complained about obstruction by bureau superiors.” (Fox News, May 30, 2002: LINK)

g) “The FBI was under intense pressure yesterday to explain why its top officials had apparently stymied efforts by their own agents to investigate a long and clear pattern of evidence that Islamic extremists were plotting terror attacks on US soil.” (London Guardian, May 26, 2002).  and so on…

Now who told the top FBI officials to purposefully impede the ongoing investigations being carried out by lower-rank FBI agents?? Was it Bin Laden and his group who ordered them to do so? Can we really believe after this that bin Laden (a CIA Agent) carried out these attacks without any help from higher-ups in the US Gov’n??

10) AIDING AND PROTECTING THE TERRORISTS: This is a huge subject in which much detailed research has been done. Without reproducing all the confirmed details here, i will ask the interested reader to examine these links:

b) Terrorists Trained at US flight schools, and FBI agents who were following them warned the US Gov’n about them, but the Gov’n did nothing on purpose. (LINK).

c) The 20th hijacker – Moussaoui – had been a suspect for years but was ignored by the intelligence agencies, and the FAA security took no action against him (LINK).

d) Members of the bin Laden family were allowed to fly out of the US in the days after 9/11, even though US airspace was strictly closed, in other words, the FBI helped the suspects escape to safety. (as reported by the Boston Globe, the Scotsman, United Press International, the National Review, and others… LINK).

e) George Bush (father and son) have stronger ties and greater connections to Bin Laden and his network than almost anyone else. (LINK)(LINK)(LINK).

f) How we trained al-Qa’ida (LINK), and how the CIA created bin Laden (LINK).

g) al-Qa’ida: made in the USA (LINK). Excerpt: “In other words, the so-called Al Qaeda, which has been promoted by the Media Cartel as the cause of all bombings and terrorism since the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001, is simply a database of CIA trained “terrorists” (or “freedom fighters,” depending on your perspective) which has become a convenient Global Boogeyman for the 21st Century.”

h) We can conclude then, that on 9/11, “bin Laden came home to roost”, as in this MSNBC article. In either case, whether bin Laden was responsible for 9/11 (in which case he was a CIA Asset so the blame comes back to the CIA, FBI, etc), or whether he was not responsible for the attacks (as he admitted himself in an interview to al-Jazeera a few days after 9/11 – quote below), the blame ultimately lies in certain criminal elements of this Neo-Con administration. As for the fake “confession tape”, this serves no evidence. Not only because it was later disclosed to be an admitted forgery, but also because the figure in the video looks only remotely like bin Laden, writes with the wrong hand, and wears a gold ring (forbidden for males in Islamic law).

Bin Laden stated in a statement issued to al-Jazeera news: “the US Government has consistently blamed me for being behind every attack. I would like to assure the world that i did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons. I have been living in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and following its leader’s rules. The current leader does not allow me to exercise such operations.” (So much for the “confessing terrorist” fairy tale).

Above is only some of the damning evidence to support our contention that the blame for 9/11 should go to certain criminal elements within the US Gov’n, and to deny and disprove the “official” Gov’n fairy tale conspiracy theory lies and ommissions about what they want us to believe happened on 9/11 (which only the stupid and gullible would swallow hook, line, and sinker). Again, this is only some…. we did not cover, for example, the fact that the debris of flight 93 was spread over 8 miles (meaning it had to have been shot down instead of “wrestled” to the ground according to the official fairy tale); or how the steel and other debris of the two WTC towers (which was a crime scene) was immediately shipped to China and India, which basically means destroyed evidence and obstruction of justice; or how no plane debris was found at the Pentagon (no wings, no engines, no fuselage, nothing) except a few scrap metal pieces light enough to be carried away by one person; or how the hole made was way too small to accomodate a plane of that size; or how the grass lawn in front of the Pentagon strike area was still perfectly green and unharmed, and the windows around the strike area still intact; or how the 5 stills from the footage released show no plane at all, but something much much smaller than a Boeing; or how cordite was smelled at the scene of the Pentagon (an explosive material with a distinct odor very different from burned jet fuel); or how the supposedly hijacked planes displayed maneuvers so advanced and smooth when the hijackers themselves were known to be very poor pilots, and which also defied any theory of passengers bravely struggling with the hijackers as they flew the plane (how did it fly so smoothly then?); or how the supposed cell phone calls were impossible to make at that altitude and speed; and so on…

my prediction is, the US and Israel WILL go to war with Syria and Iran, and this Sufyani figure will rise in Syria at that time, and that congruently, there will be an army in Iran with those black banners, who will come to Palestine and establish a presence there.

2) the Mahdi will appear within TWO – at most three – years.

3) he will have 7 or 9 main helpers (wuzara), none of whom are Arab.

4) although i am not as sure on this, but the Dajjal will come from the “Rothschild” family (i highly doubt that he will be the “ibn sayyaad” mentioned in some hadiths)

5) I do know the family names however of those who will be the Dajjal’s primary helpers…they are as follows:

Astor,  Bundy, Collins, DuPont, Freeman, Kennedy, Li, Onassis, Reynolds, Rockefeller, Rothschild, Russell, Van Duyn. there are others but those are some of the main ones.

6) Things also seem to suggest that there will be a planned/staged terror attack before November (just like 9/11 was a staged government-sponsored terror attack, and if you think it was those 19 hijackers plus bin Laden – who’s dead by the way – who were solely responsible for that attack, i must say you’re really stupid and gullible).

For those who know history, they are familiar with the concept of the “Hegelian Dialectic” which is “thesis, antithesis, synthesis” or more commonly “problem, reaction, solution” which leads to the desired increased control. i will develop this in another post, as it is crucially important to understand this point if you want to understand recent history and modern events.

Allah says that He taught (‘allama) Adam all the Names (Q2:30), but the word ‘allama also means “to make a mark,” and so in this teaching of the Names, (which was not didactic), He marked Adam with all the Divine Names and Qualities, reflecting the traces of each of them in the Adamic form. Our servitude to Him means exactly our returning our qualities to Him – their origin – and relinquishing any power or strength (hawl wa quwwa), for Allah is ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir (over all things powerful).

This process is the return arch of the circle back to Him. He ends, “and a lamp giving light.” Here we have arrived at the true reality of the Muhammadan presence (Haqiqa Muhammadiyya), for the light that reflects from his face to us is the same light that Allah shines on his face. From him comes the essential light-mercy that keeps the creation living in tasbih and hamd. As long as it abides in the life of its essential tasbih and hamd, it is able to return the Trust of the Divine Qualities back to its owner. That is its true life.

Consider the meaning of the statement of the Prophet (salla allahu alayhi wa sallam) when he said: “the difference between the one who invokes Allah and the one who is heedless of Him is as the difference between the living and the dead.” Shaykh al-Akbar Muhammad Muhyiddeen ibn ‘Arabi wrote about the Haqiqa Muhammadiya in his books and said, “from the niche of his prophet-hood, all of the prophets received their prophet-hood thru his light-emanation.”

The Noble Vision 

Imam Sha’rani writes, because of this, that Imam sh-Shadhdhuli said:

“there will appear in Egypt a man by the name of Muhammad al-Hanafi, who will “open this door” (of the
Tariqa) wide, and become well-known in his time, and he will have an immense rank”
and in another narration:
“there will appear in Egypt a youth who will be known as “the repentant youth” (this refers to one of the 7
categories of people shaded in Allah’s Throne on the ay of Rising), who will follow the Hanafi madhhab
(while Egypt is mostly Shafi’i), whose name will be Muhammad ibn Hasan, and he will have a mark on his
right cheek, and he will have white skin with a touch of red in it, and he will be raised as a poor orphan.”

and he also used to say: “al-Hanafi is the fifth successor after me.”

The Story

ash-Sharif an-Nu’mani, one of the murids of Sidi
Muhammad al-Hanafi, narrates that he had a dream,
“wherein i saw my grandfather the Messenger of Allah
(saws) in a great wide tent, and the Awliya were
coming to him and greeting him one by one, while one
person next to him would introduce them and say, “this
is so-and-so,” and then they would sit next to him
(alayhi salat wa salam). And then i saw a great group
of people, and that person called out, “this is
Muhammad al-Hanafi,” and when he reached the Messenger
(asws) he sat him down next to him, then turned to
Sayyidina Abi Bakr (radiyallahu anhu) and said, “i
love this man, except for his turban (‘imamah),” and
Abu Bakr replied, “ya Rasul Allah, do u give me
permission to dress him with a turban?” and the
Messenger (asws) gave him permission. So Abu Bakr took
off his own turban and placed it on the head of Sidi
Muhammad al-Hanafi, and let loose from it an extension and
hung it on his left shoulder.”

So after he told this to Sidi Muhammad Hanafi, he
cried, and the people in the group with them cried
too, and Shaykh Muhammad said to him, “if you see your
grandfather (asws) again in a dream, then ask him by
what specific action of mine he came to know me and i
became connected to him.” So a couple days later, he
saw the Prophet (asws) again in his dream, and he
asked him that question, and the Prophet (asws) said:

“It is because of his salawat he sends to me every day
before maghrib in his cell/room of devotion (khalwa),
which is:

“Allahumma Salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin
an-Nabiyy al-Ummiyy wa ‘ala aalihi wa sahbihi wa
Sallim, ‘adada ma ‘alimta wa zinata ma ‘alimta wa
mil’a ma ‘alimta”

(which translated means: “O Allah,
send your benedictions of blessing upon our liege-lord
Muhammad, the Unlettered Prophet, and upon his
household and companions, and greetings of peace,
according to the number of things You have knowledge
of, and the weight of things You have knowledge of,
and the amount of things You have knowledge of”).

So after hearing this Shaykh Muhammad said, “the
Messenger of Allah (asws) spoke the truth,” and he
re-adjusted his turban and hung down a tassel/extension on his
left shoulder, and so did everyone else in the group
(majlis), and he continued to wear his turban that way
until his passing – may Allah be pleased with him!

May Allah connect us to the Prophet (asws) and make
our connection to him firm and unbreakable, ameen…!
